Our Church and its Faith

How to belong

We at St. Matthew’s recognise that it is important to belong, that we are accounted for, valued, for who and what we are. We encourage this type service to be present in our Church. We believe that God has called each of us; we belong not because of our goodness but through God’s grace and the worthiness of Jesus Christ.

This belonging has its most important expression through prayer, the worship and the life of our Church. Together we seek to grow and be open to do the work of God in our lives. The sense of belonging is most specifically expressed our services the Eucharist. It is our central act of worship outward expression of our offering and sharing in the life of symbolised for us in the bread and wine.

At St. Mathew’s we are always ready and willing to show new people into our church. We encourage and help each other to the glory of God.
